Bausch + Lomb announced the launch of the Bausch + Lomb #ONEbyONE recycling program, encouraging consumers to help preserve the environment. Patients in the United States can now recycle their used Bausch + Lomb contact lenses and blister packs through a unique and free program,, developed in partnership with TerraCycle, a leader in the collection and repurposing of hard-to-recycle post-consumer waste.
Bausch + Lomb is marking the launch with a consumer event on America Recycles Day (November 15) hosted by Biotrue® ONEday, at the Marshall B. Ketchum University’s Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in Anaheim, CA. The event will feature an educational and interactive experience for students and the surrounding community, giving them the chance to participate in the recycling program.
This new program is not available in Canada, however Bausch + Lomb Canada says that recycling of the blister plastic is certainly available through local recycling programs, as is the box.
