Each year, CNIB awards numerous scholarships to post-secondary and graduate school-bound students who are blind or partially sighted. In 2017, nearly 50 scholarships were handed out across Canada.
If you know a student with sight loss who is bright and passionate, we hope you’ll encourage them to apply!
There are five scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, that fall under the CNIB Scholarship umbrella:
- CNIB Scholarship;
- FJL Woodcock SAPA Scholarship;
- Barney Danson Scholarship;
- The Dr. John and Olive Pyper Scholarship (Southwestern Ontario – Perth, Wellington, Waterloo, Oxford, Middlesex and Huron); and
- The Bernice and Robert Gilbert Fund.
Scholarship applications are available in both English and French. Recipients are determined by the CNIB Scholarship Committee.
CNIB also offers the CNIB Master’s Scholarship (x2) valued at $12,500 and $5,000. These are available in both English and French.
The application deadline is June 15, 2018.
