Marchon and Paul Smith Sign Exclusive Licensing Agreement for Eyewear

Marchon Eyewear and Paul Smith, Britain’s leading independent design company, announced that they have entered into an exclusive, long-term global licensing agreement.

Marchon was previously responsible for the distribution of Paul Smith eyewear in North America. Under this new partnership, Marchon now oversees the design, manufacturing, and global distribution of the brand’s eyewear collection since January 2023.

Paul Smith sun and optical styles are designed with a classic yet modern approach, with a focus on craft and attention to detail – featuring the distinct signature styling and the organic colour palette Paul Smith is known for.

Transitions Announces Appointment of Rose Harris to Senior Director of Marketing, North America

Transitions Optical has announced the appointment of Rose Harris to senior director of marketing, North America. In her new role, Harris is responsible for strategic development, implementation, and integration of all Transitions marketing programs for the U.S. and Canada.

As senior director of marketing, North America, Harris will also represent the region to drive growth and to create cross-functional alignment for regional marketing strategies for Transitions® lenses. She will oversee the management of key channels as well as the appropriate consumer and trade marketing functions.

Harris began her career at Transitions Optical in 1991 and has served in various sales and marketing roles. For the past 5 years, she has been both senior associate director and director of channel marketing for North America.

Blue Point Invests in Europa Eyewear to Support Growth and Development of a New Platform

Europa Eyewear announces its partnership with Blue Point Capital Partners, a mid-west investment firm. Blue Point Capital has made a meaningful investment in Europa to fuel its growth and expansion.

Founded by Alan and Cynthia Shapiro in 1977 and led today by the founders’ son Scott Shapiro, Europa is one of the largest independent eyewear companies in the United States. Nearly all of the Company’s frame collections are proprietary trade and consumer brands supported by a fully employed salesforce.
